Space 11, recently visited Malaysia and observed the transformation of Kuala Lumpar's premium Pavilion Shopping Mall for the Chinese New Year period.
With this holiday lasting 2 weeks amid a frenzy of family gatherings, festivities and gift giving, this is an important event for shoppers and retailers alike.
We were greeted by an assault on the senses upon arriving at the mall. The scale of the decorations matched the multi story entrance facade and. As well as the literal transformation of the public areas with a forest of red trees and lanterns, customers were immersed into a different world of carousels, gift concessions and exhibits whilst surrounded by a soundtrack of distinctly traditional Chinese music.
